Dream Chaser Ready for Phase Two Flight Testing

The Dream Chaser flight test vehicle is on its way to NASA Armstrong for a second flight test out at Edwards Air Force Base. From Sierra Nevada Corporation’s press release:

The Dream Chaser test vehicle has been upgraded to include several hardware and software components being integrated into the Dream Chaser Cargo System design for the CRS-2 program, allowing for actual flight testing of the new components. The flight tests will act as a bridge between previous work with CCP and the next-generation vehicle currently under development for the forthcoming International Space Station cargo resupply missions.

This is the same vehicle that flew the first test flight, in which the left landing gear failed to deploy and sent the vehicle tumbling down the runway, though that footage was never released.
