Public Notice of SpaceX’s LZ-1 Expansion Plans

A public notice was printed in Florida Today on July 3rd outlining SpaceX’s plans for LZ-1:

This project involves increasing the number of landing pads at LZ-1 to land up to three first stage boosters from a nominal launch sequence of a Falcon Heavy rocket from launch pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center. The current single pad would not be able to accept more than one returning single booster stage.

Three landing pads in one landing complex, fully capable of supporting an entire Falcon Heavy recovery. This should also help up their Falcon 9 flight rate, since right now they’re limited in recovery by one landing pad and one drone ship.
